Rare & exotic trees, plants, varieties of orchids, succulents, tropical plants & flowers as well as vegetables. Tour of the Granger Homestead & Carriage Museum. An 1816 mansion built by Gideon Granger. Granger served as U.S. Postmaster General under President Thomas Jefferson. The Carriage Museum holds the largest collection of antique horse-drawn vehicles & farm implements in western NY. Place for lunch to be determined. Stop at Sauders Market on the way back home.

Pollace’s Catskill Family Resort, Catskill, NY. Coffee & Danish upon arrival. Tour of Olana, a Historic NYS Site. Frederick Church, one of the most important landscape painters of the nineteenth century, designed his home & the surrounding picturesque to take full advantage of the magnificent views of the Catskill Mountains & the river that inspired a generation of artists. Tour the house, stroll the grounds of the site hailed by many as the Queen of the Hudson Valley Estates. The house is filled with original items from the family since NYS purchased the site & opened as a NYS Historic Site in June, 1967. An Italian Fiesta Buffet lunch at the resort includes many traditional Italian dishes plus assorted salads, authentic Italian dessert, iced tea, coffee, tea & a complimentary glass of wine. Coffee & cookies upon departure. Optional things to do at the Resort—BINGO & music & dancing in the cocktail lounge or just relax at the Resort.

Extraordinary example of the work of Louis C. Tiffany & the Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company. Lunch at Captain Jack’s Good Time Tavern in Sodus Bay overlooking Lake Ontario. Stop at Sodus Bay Light House Museum with a guided tour.
